As conscious entrepreneurs, we are attempting to grow ethical businesses that are aligned with our values.

The problem, however, is that we are all working and needing to survive within capitalism, which is often fundamentally at odds with those values and ethics.

AND since most of us have lived within this system our entire lives, the beliefs and fears of this system have been deeply embedded in our psyches and spirits. So even if we have the best of intentions to run our businesses differently, the default programming of capitalism is always present. Subconsciously encoded into our thought patterns and behaviors. Threatening to undermine the change-making we’re attempting to do.

In this zine we’ll take an objective look at some of the biggest lies of capitalism and start to unpack, question, and unlearn them. We’ll pull back the curtain to see some of the sneaky ways they might be showing up for you, examine where they originated, and then consider what we could be doing differently.

Because especially as an entrepreneur trying to root their business in their ethics, it’s key to have a critical awareness of this programming so that it doesn’t end up secretly running the show.
